December Travels and Festivities

North Florida Prison Crusade

Hotel lobby and breakfast rooms transformed into sanctuaries for prayer and praise.

Deborah's Birthday

The tradition -- breakfast in bed.

Mother knows how to give money-gifts creatively! :)

Christmas Banquets, Parties, and Outings

Youth Christmas Banquet. Every year has a different theme; this year was the classic B&W.

Mom and Dad hosted a couples Christmas banquet in our home. High times of laughter and stories!

Wiping tears of laughter.

Gospel Express Christmas Banquet

Special times of worship at the home Church.

Sunday Evening Christmas Program was a treat to watch and be a part of. Above is the adult mixed choir.
The sweetest part of any Christmas program -- the Children.

Flowers for Mother's birthday. The cracked turkey platter has served many a Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey since it was gifted to Mother and Father at their wedding (Though it didn't have the crack at that point. :))
Ice skating on the square has become a winter tradition.

Hendel's Messiah by the Charlotte Symphony .
"...and He shall reign forever and ever..."

Viewing the National Gingerbread House Competition at the Grove Park Inn.

Christmas Eve/Day

Christmas Eve. Tradition has it -- time in town passing out tracts and then back home for chocolate fountain and a Christmas movie.

Christmas morning music.

Florida

Every year after Christmas we head down to good ol' Sarasota Fl. Our time there includes some services and a volleyball tournament fundraiser for Gospel Express. But along with the package comes the joy of sunshine and time with the many friends who migrate south over that time. :)

With a record-breaking 50 teams this year, the tournament didn't conclude until around 2:00 a.m.!

A lovely luncheon at one of our favorite Fl. restaurants!

Jaunting about with friends and their sweet rides! :)

Cousins!
It was a treat to spend time with Dad's brother and family while we were in Fl.
Brothers.

Mom, Dad, and Grace spent New Years Eve with a dear group of friends while us youth were about with another group of friends. Here they are bringing in the New Year on the beach...

Georgia Friends Visit

We had a lot of fun to come home to! These fine folks showed up at our house the day after we arrived home from Fl. to spend the first weekend of the year with us. We had large times of worship, laughter, and adventures with coffee as our fuel source! :)

The girls.
The Boys.
The Crew.

Mountain-top praise session...

Around the table for Sunday lunch.

Daddy reads this verse from the pulpit on the first Sunday of 2016...

"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
-Isa. 43:18-19

I'm excited to see the "new things" He will do.
